It is precision-graded for efficient calcium carbonate buffering and high in strontium， magnesium， and other essential reef elements， and always silica-free. It is harvested from pristine ocean waters - not collected from beaches or reefs - and contains no harmful tar， organics or impurities.
Its buffering capabilities are unmatched， helping to maintain a proper pH of 8.2 without the constant addition of chemicals to the tank. Each pound of Aragonite provides up to 10，000 square inches of surface area for maximum growth of beneficial， water-purifying bacteria. These bacteria help control nitrate， nitrite， ammonia， and other harmful waste products to keep your fish healthy and your tank clean.
